Pull for Preservation
Preserving the integrity of our community’s architectural heritage is one of the primary goals of the Flatonia Landmark Preservation Society (FLPS). In an effort to help finance several on-going projects, FLPS, which is a 501(c)(3) organization, is conducting a fundraising Sporting Clays Tournament at the Fayette County Gun Club in La Grange on Saturday, May 17.

The tournament, which will be held rain or shine, is called “Pull for Preservation” and is expected to draw more than 200 shooters and spectators from Houston, Austin, San Antonio, as well as Flatonia and surrounding communities. The tournament is being organized by FLPS volunteers and will include a silent auction, raffle, trophies for class winners, and anyone with a perfect score after shooting 75 sporting clays will qualify for a $15,000 grand prize.

If you’re interested in participating in the tournament, being an underwriter/sponsor, or advertising in the event program, please download the appropriate form and mail it to FLPS by Friday, May 2. Entry fee is $75 per shooter or $375 per team. If you have any questions please call Kirk Pate at 361-865-9309. Participants will be limited to 200 and will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis.
