Visit the Shops of Local Artisans
Right behind the Olle Hotel is a majestic, old livery stable. Back in the 1880's visitors to Flatonia used to arrive to town by train, rent a room at the Olle, and rent a horse at this stable. Jeff Hargrove, a master leather craftsman, now makes and restores saddles and other custom leather goods from here. Also close is Southwest Metal Art www.elliottssouthwestmetal-art.com where you can buy custom iron work.

EA Arnim Archives and Museum
The EA Arnim Archives and Museum was established in 1988 with the donation of the bank building by Flatonia State Bank. Artifacts collected by Judge Sam Arnim over his lifetime were donated by his widow, Ann Arnim. The citizens of Flatonia brought in hundreds of family items which gave a good representation of the city of Flatonia. The museum is one of the largest rural museums in Central Texas, and is devoted to preserving the history of life and the cultural heritage of the area.
